Founded in 1912, Sevenoaks Hockey Club is one of the oldest and most established clubs in the country. We’re based in central Sevenoaks in Kent and proud to be a multi-generational community club, offering hockey for all – whether you're starting out or looking to play at the highest level.

The clubhouse enjoys a magnificent setting overlooking the Vine, and Sevenoaks HC shares the pavilion with the Sevenoaks Vine Cricket Club, one of the oldest cricket clubs in the world - dating back to 1734.

We run 18 adult teams across men’s and women’s leagues, including National League squads, Vets teams, social sides, and development squads. We’ve also got junior teams at every age group from U8 to U18, with many players going on to represent county, regional and national programmes.

There’s a place for everyone here – players, coaches, umpires, and parents. It’s a proper club, built on friendship, respect, and a shared love of hockey.

Looking to play at the top level?
We’re always keen to hear from talented players who want to challenge themselves. Our Men’s 1st XI and Women’s 1st XI both compete in England Hockey’s National League Division 1 South, with dedicated coaching, and access to high-performance support. Our Women's 2nd XI compete in England Hockey's National League Conference East. We also run indoor squads for men and women, competing in the National Indoor League system. You’re very welcome to come and try us out, whatever your age, experience or confidence level. We’ve got sessions for beginners, returners, weekend warriors, aspiring internationals – and everyone in between. Whether you’re a young player just starting out, or an adult looking for a new club, we’d love to meet you. Ready to join or just want to find out more? Trying us out
New joiners are entitled to two taster sessions, which should be taken straight after registering. That gives you a chance to meet your coaches, get a feel for things and decide if we’re the right fit.

Please note – your membership is considered to begin at the time of registration. You'll be prompted to pay your subs via the Pitchero platform. If you decide not to continue, just let us know and no payment will be taken.

Back from uni? Come and play.
If you're back in Sevenoaks during the uni holidays – or for a full season – we’d love to have you back on pitch. Whether you’ve been playing BUCS, coaching, or you've missed your stick, there’s a squad and a session ready for you. We offer a reduced membership rate for university returners, and you’ll be made very welcome across our adult teams – from performance squads through to more social sides. It’s a great way to stay sharp, reconnect with old teammates, and get stuck into club life again. Get in touch and we’ll help you find your place.

Thinking about playing in the UK?
We’re always keen to welcome overseas players – whether you're on a gap year, working holiday, student exchange or planning a longer stay. If you’ve got the right to work in the UK, there may be paid coaching opportunities available at the club or local schools, and we may also be able to help with accommodation through host families or our wider club network.

Important: you must be a member to participate in sessions or be selected for matches.
We do require membership applications to be approved before attending training. Players will be selected for matches once membership subs have been paid.

A note on refunds: membership fees are non-refundable, except in specific circumstances.

Holiday camps
We run fun, inclusive hockey camps during school holidays – open to both members and non-members. Camps are a great way to build confidence, improve skills and make new friends. Check our event page for the latest dates and booking info.
